Singing in CULP’s Pehchanshalas (July 29, 2017)

A Visual Analysis Study of Singing in CULP's Pehchanshalas reveals that Singing of poem dramatically improved self-esteem of vulnerable girls. Small girls liked the clap rhymes to keep the rhythm. This was linked with sight vocabulary development and with language learning cognitively. It helped the bigger girls to be calmer, focused and confident, increased their enjoyment, engagement and participation in class work. Grown up girls loved creating music with own voice and singing in cultural style rather than merely singing songs in an imposed way made vocally shy girls.
